04-04-07 Well, hello there from Delaware!! Nice that you've passed along your travel memoirs!! It's great to see what I have to look forward to in hmmm...about another 20 years when I retire!!! Keep the journals coming!! (It's a nice break from my little office at EDJ!) Thanks!! And Happy Sailing! Dawn

02-09-07 Hi Girls, I loved your posts. I am a wannabee cruiser. I have one big question. How does the world look at two women cruising together? My partner and I have always wondered about that. Do they take advantage of that fact or at least try to? Has it been safe with no man onboard? Also Caliber 40LRC has been #1 on my list. Any comments on that would be wonderful as well. Thanks  Melissa Melrna2001@yahoo.com

01-29-07 Hello Susan and Laura of S/V Mystic Traveler, Anne-Marie and I are from Montreal (Bonjour!) and wintering in Phoenix in our motorhome. We are sailor wannabees and are interested in a Caliber, which is how we found your site. I read all and thank you for the interesting and well written account. If it is no imposition, I would ask whether you would recommend the 47'- as in washer-dryer, or some other change in the sailboat choice. waltercelmore@qc.aibn.com

Baghdad and all of the craziness that is going on here and in the country. I am looking forwarding to reading the log entries of your adventures along with your ideas. Thanks again for sharing. Best wishes in 2007 for fair winds and following seas. Obe (my callsign)

11-03-06 Howdy you two. It's nice to see the photos to go along with your updates. After hanging out in the Eastern Caribbean for three years, we are in Panama. In fact, we were anchored in the San Blas' Coco Banderas and the Swimming Pool where you were. We just returned from a land tour of Argentina and Peru and will soon be back in the San Blas. Keep up the photos, please, so we can vicariously share in your travels. Rankin and Sandy, S/V Heart of Texas

10-11-06 Your Uncle Tom: Great pics and log. I hear you are planing to return to New Zealand permantley. It is a beautiful place and the friendliest people I have every met. Can you work there or do need the equivalent of a green card as in the US? I can see that it is a good thing that Laura likes to write long logs. Do believe I caught you in some of the pics. Susan are you going to blame the sun for bleaching your hair? Love to all. Look forward to seeing you in Dec

10-06-06 Dear susan and Laura, We have just started to read your journal and dig through your story. It is exciting and is definitely an inspiration to us as we also have a dream to sail away on Caliber 47. Our take off time is 5 to 10 years away depending on retirement planning.
However we found that your journal ends abruptly on June 26, 2006 and today is October 6. Please assure us that you are both OK and that good god Neptune still takes care of you. We will continue reading through your story and keep you both in our prayers that you are safe some where in paradise. God Bless You, Stay in good health and always have a foot of water under your keel of your Mystic Traveler. Paul & Chris, Edmonton, Alberta, on the dry Canadian prairies.

10-03-06 Nice photos! I especially liked the photo of sunrise in paradise with your June 26 log. Please keep us updated. --Robin / California, USA

09-29-06 Great adventure! It inspires me and my dream to do some serious voyaging too. I look forward to reading and seeing more log updates of your voyage.  --Steve H. / Rhode Island, USA
